When you know where you want your summer house or garden shelter to go, measure out the area. Check that your chosen structure fits there, and that you’re happy with the placement of it.
Remember to look at any garden plants or trees nearby, and to add any overhanging roof features or verandahs into your calculations. Also be sure to leave enough space for the doors and windows of your summer house to be opened. We advise leaving space around the boundary of your garden structure to ensure you can access all sides for maintenance.
