New wooden fences for Blagdon SchoolSomerlap are proud to have provided a much nicer and safer outdoor play area for Blagdon Primary School by installing smart, new wooden fences. We were also happy to donate some timber planters and a bench.

New wooden fences for the school

Somerlap provided a new attractive 1.8m high picket fence between the school and the main road, as well as delightful planters and a sturdy softwood bench. The new additions make the whole area look really pleasant and green for children, staff and visitors alike.

Managing Director Kevin Bond said, “We were delighted to help Blagdon Primary School create a safer outside play space for their pupils. We hope that they enjoy the bench and planters for many years to come.”

Ms R Tucker, Interim Headteacher, said, “We are absolutely delighted with our new fence at Blagdon Primary School. Security has been greatly improved and by using a natural wood product, we have kept the welcome, country feel of our village surroundings. Somerlap very generously donated a smart new bench for the playground and some planters for our early years area. The children, staff and governors are incredibly thankful.”

The children are also delighted, saying “I think it makes the school feel safer” (Cameron S) and, “I like the new, epic bench” (Will S and Ollie M).
