Somerlap timber bird tables

Somerlap are always happy to help local causes where we can, especially when it benefits younger generations. We were recently visited by Colin Taylor, who has known Somerlap's Technical Administration Manager, Nigel Puddy for many years (Colin is the Senior Partner at the dental practice Nigel attends).

However, Colin wasn’t visiting to check Nigel’s teeth! He was asking for off-cuts of timber that would be suitable for making timber bird tables and nest boxes. The bird tables and boxes were to be installed at a school for underprivileged children in Oxfordshire, where Colin's daughter teaches.

Somerlap donated several pieces of timber to Colin and he used it to make the timber bird tables and nest boxes, which have now been delivered to the school. The children were delighted with them and have sent Somerlap a lovely, home made ‘Thank You’ card.

Somerlap have helped and supported many local Somerset schools over the years, so we’re very happy to have been able to share the Somerlap kindness further afield!
