What type of garden fencing do you need?
Choosing your ideal timber fence panels will come down to a combination of personal taste and what you intend to use your fencing for.
If you’re looking for privacy as well as an attractive garden fence, many of our fences are available in 6ft high options – perfect for creating a secluded garden sanctuary. Or, for a different look, our picket or lattice-topped make another great option. A trellis panel invites plenty of natural light into your garden, and is a great place to grow climbing plants for a beautiful floral display.
When it comes to choosing a fence, we’ll be more than happy to lend our expertise and help find just the right fence panels to suit your needs.
What do you need to buy?
There are a few different components you’ll need to buy when getting a fence for your garden (handily, we stock them all):
Fence Panels: Measure out your garden boundary and choose from an array of fence panel options.
Fence Posts: Select from various concrete or timber fence posts.
Fence Brackets: Fix your panels to the posts with galvanised brackets.
Gravel Boards: Essential for protecting the base of your garden fence panels from damp.
Fence Caps and Finials: A recommended addition to the top of your fence posts for protection against rain, snow and frost. Personalise with acorns, balls or traditional post caps.
If you need some tips, check out our blog onhow to put up a garden fence. Good fences make good neighbours, so it’s definitely wise to check that you and your neighbour are in agreement about boundary ownership. There’s also some ground rules set out by the government about any necessary planning permission.
