Somerlap New Fence Panels

Winter storms, high winds and driving rain typically cause havoc to garden fences. Replacing damaged panels with durable, well built fence panels and ensuring your posts are securely sited, can help future proof your garden fencing and reduce time spent fixing it each winter.

Get your base right

Before you start to think about fence panels, you'll need to ensure you have a sturdy base. Remove any damaged fence panels and then check your fence posts. Are the posts damaged? Are they showing any signs of rot? Are they well sited in the ground, with no movement in them?

If you need to replace any posts, think about whether a wooden post or concrete post will suit you. Concrete posts are extremely hard wearing and you can easily slide fence panels in and out of them. Timber posts are often preferred aesthetically and Somerlap's wooden posts are pressure treated to extend life expectancy. Treating new wooden posts with Postsaver is proven to extend the lifespan of fence posts so we highly recommend it!

Which fence panel is right for you?

As well as effectively securing and marking garden boundaries, fence panels can be a part of the design and style of your garden. Our traditional Waney panels are produced from quality timber and pressure treated for durability, but we also stock a wide range of other styles. Feather Edge panels remain a popular choice, as do our striking Lattice Top panels.

If you require a fence panel solely for boundary marking, without the need for privacy, then take a look at our Picket Fence panels which create a lovely look in any garden.
