Somerlap saves the day for charity shipment to Romania

When we received a last-minute request from a charity near Tiverton for some packing crates, we were only too happy to oblige!

Life2Romania promotes indigenous Christian children and youth work in Romania, by sending UK volunteers to run summer holiday clubs and by training and supporting youth leaders in Romania. The charity was preparing to send a shipment of Christmas shoeboxes and second-hand clothes to poor families in Romania, but only 5 of the 8 crates they needed arrived. The lorry was due to collect everything just days later, so Life2Romania turned to Somerlap to perform a Christmas miracle!

Always keen to help a good cause, and meet a challenge, Somerlap duly built the crates to the required specification – at no charge! They were delivered to the grateful charity, which filled them with toys, books, and clothes, and sent them off in the lorry to Romania.

Another bit of seasonal cheer has been delivered!
